Dr. Charles Shively D.C. 



   Dr. Shively grew up in Carbondale, KS just south of Topeka. He was a very active athlete in football, wrestling and baseball throughout his childhood and at Santa Fe Trail High School.  During football season his sophomore year he experienced some very extreme back pain. He went to a local chiropractor and after two weeks of treatment, he was back to 100%. It was at this time that Dr. Shively knew that he wanted to become a chiropractor.

   After high school, Dr. Shively attended Allen County Community College for one year on an academic scholarship. In 2010 he began the Doctorate program at Cleveland Chiropractic College in Overland Park, KS. While attending Cleveland Dr. Shively was fortunate enough to intern with one of the top chiropractors in the Kansas City area. This was a very valuable experience that not all students get a chance to have. Dr. Shively graduated from Cleveland Chiropractic College in August 2012 with a Doctorate of Chiropractic Degree.



   Since graduation, Dr. Shively has continued to further his knowledge to better help his patients. In November 2012, Dr. Shively took an Active Release Technique seminar in St. Louis, MO.  Active Release is a state of the art soft tissue technique that treats problems with muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia and nerves. Not only is this a preferred technique for all athletes, it can be utilized for nearly everyone and Dr. Shively is the only certified Active Release Technique provider in Topeka.
